Freeky Clouds

We had some weird clouds come our way a couple days ago and Liz got some pictures of them. I thought it looked pretty Independence Day ish.

Car ride

It was a long car ride for Brigham. It took 4 hours each way so Liz and Grandma had the hard task of keeping him entertained the whole time. They did a great job as you can tell by this video.

11 months

Brigham is getting so big. He walks by himself for few steps but he can go all day with his walker. At least that is what I call it. This is picture of him while were in San Antonio. I just like his "chicks dig me" shirt.

Grandma and Grandpa

It took Brigham a little while to get used to being with Grandma and Grandpa and not with Mom. Sometimes as soon as we handed him over he was trying to get back but sometimes he would let them hold him for a little bit, but never too long.

San Antonio

Mom and Dad came into town for a week to visit during spring break and we took advantage of that and went down to San Antonio for a couple of days. We did the river walk and took the boat tour which was something Liz and I didn't do last time we went. We saw the Alamo and on the last day we went to a Museum which had some pretty cool interactive things to it.

We spent most of one day at this museum checking out all that it had. We saw how counter weights work by riding a bike on a wire over a river, learned all about pully systems by pulling ourselves up and down with different ropes.

We had a lot of fun with Mom and Dad and we are glad that they would come down and see us.

Shooting range

Shannon took me to the shooting range the other day. We shot four different guns (it's not like I remember the names of the guns).

The Park

We have a lot of fun going to the park now that Brigham is getting bigger. He loves playing on the slides and the swings. We just get a big get out of watching him experience all of these fun things for the first time.

Bull Auction

Stockshow and Rodeo

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is a huge event down here. We missed it last year so we decided for sure we would make it this year. You could tell we are not originally from here because I think we were the only people there not wearing boots and a cowboy hat.
When we first got there we went to the bull auction. The top bull went for $6,000.00 but the overall top bull of the stock show, which goes for about a month, went for $140,000.00. After the auction we went next door to the llama event. This thing was hilarious. It was an obsticale course that the llamas had to go through but they did it very slowly. Apparently they get startled very easily so there was calm music playing over the sound system and the handlers just walked them through the course.
After that, we went and looked at the cows, pigs and lambs. They had a demonstration on how they milk cows and would bring cows in every half hour to milk.
We had a fun time and now we feel little bit more like we've had the full Fort Worth experience.
