Stockshow and Rodeo

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is a huge event down here. We missed it last year so we decided for sure we would make it this year. You could tell we are not originally from here because I think we were the only people there not wearing boots and a cowboy hat.

When we first got there we went to the bull auction. The top bull went for $6,000.00 but the overall top bull of the stock show, which goes for about a month, went for $140,000.00. After the auction we went next door to the llama event. This thing was hilarious. It was an obsticale course that the llamas had to go through but they did it very slowly. Apparently they get startled very easily so there was calm music playing over the sound system and the handlers just walked them through the course.

After that, we went and looked at the cows, pigs and lambs. They had a demonstration on how they milk cows and would bring cows in every half hour to milk.

We had a fun time and now we feel little bit more like we've had the full Fort Worth experience.

Parade of Lights

This year we decided to go to the Parade of Lights that goes on in downtown Fort Worth the Friday after Thanksgiving. There were over 100 floats and thousands of people there. It is nice to be only a few blocks away so that we didn't have to worry about finding a place to park.

Law School with Dad

Brigham and I often go to the law school to visit Joe while he is studying to take him a little lunch. It is very nice for both of us to be able to see Joe during the day. I am so glad that we live closer to the law school so that we are able to see Joe more often.

Getting Ready to go to Utah!

We have been trying to find things for Brigham to be warm while we go to Utah. Crazy that it is difficult to find things here in Texas where it is 70 degrees today. We were able to find this hat which I personally think is very cute. We are very excited to visit Utah.

FLO

Brigham got his first pet a few weeks ago. He loves it. The only thing is we forgot that we were going to be going to Utah for Christmas. Hopefully someone will want to tend our little fish.
